INFO-RUSS mailing list exists from 1991 and has now about 
1000 subscribers. It links people in a Russian-speaking or having 
related interests community outside  of ex-USSR  (mostly, but not 
exclusively, refugees and emigrants form ex-USSR) in the US and 
worldwide. The list is focused on the needs and problems of emigrants 
who came to the West from the ex-USSR, and is not suited for the 
business/travel-in-the-ex-USSR info-search.  Both English and Russian 
(transliterated by Latin alphabet) languages are used.  The list is 
moderated and edited by its coordinator.
